NSCDC, Immigration, Fire Service, Corrections Kick Off 2025 Recruitment Drive

The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has officially launched a nationwide recruitment exercise for four key paramilitary agencies under its oversight.

In a statement released on Monday in Abuja, the Board’s Secretary, retired Major-General Abdulmalik Jubril, announced that the recruitment will begin on Thursday, June 27, 2025, and is open to suitably qualified Nigerians.

Jubril confirmed that the recruitment covers full-time roles within the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS), and the Federal Fire Service (FFS).

“All applications must be submitted online via the board’s recruitment portal: https://recruitment.cdcfib.org within three weeks of this announcement,” he said. “The application process is completely free, and candidates should note that submitting multiple entries will result in automatic disqualification.”

He explained that available positions fall under the Superintendent, Inspectorate, and Assistant cadres, depending on each agency’s requirements and the applicant’s qualifications.

Superintendent of Corrections (CONMESS 09): Exclusive to the Correctional Service; candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Medicine and Surgery.

Assistant Superintendent I (CONPASS 09): For the Federal Fire Service; applicants should hold a Law degree or a BSc in Mechanical, Civil, Chemical, Water Engineering, or related fields.

Assistant Superintendent II (CONPASS 08): Available in NSCDC, FFS, and Immigration; requires either a BSc or Higher National Diploma (HND).

Jubril noted that positions in the Inspectorate cadre, such as Inspector (CONHESS 06), are open to qualified nurses and midwives, and are available in NCoS, NSCDC, and FFS. The Assistant Inspector (CONPASS 06) role requires a National Diploma (ND) or Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE) in a relevant field.

For General Duty roles:

Assistant II (CONPASS 04): Candidates must have at least five credits in their O’Level results (GCE, SSCE/NECO), obtained in no more than two sittings.

Assistant III: Requires a minimum of four O’Level credits, also in no more than two sittings.

He emphasized that applicants must be Nigerian citizens, medically fit, with no criminal or financial crime record, and must be between the ages of 18 and 35.

The recruitment process, coordinated by CDCFIB, aims to boost manpower across Nigeria’s essential security and emergency response agencies.
