NSCDC, NIS, NCoS, FFS Launch Nationwide Recruitment Exercise

The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Board (CDCFIB) has announced the commencement of a nationwide recruitment drive, inviting qualified candidates to apply for full-time positions across various paramilitary agencies starting Thursday.

This was revealed in a statement issued on Monday in Abuja by the Secretary to the Board, retired Major-General Abdulmalik Jubril.

Jubril urged interested applicants to submit their applications online via the official CDCFIB recruitment portal: https://recruitment.cdcfib.org. The recruitment covers the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS), Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), and the Federal Fire Service (FFS).

“All applications must be submitted online within three weeks from the date of this announcement. Please note that the application is entirely free,” he emphasized.

Jubril warned that candidates are allowed to apply to only one of the four agencies, as submitting multiple applications will lead to automatic disqualification.

He added that vacancies are available across the Superintendent, Inspectorate, and Assistant cadres.

Superintendent of Corrections (CONMESS 09) – Available only under NCoS; applicants must hold a Bachelor’s degree (BSc) in Medicine and Surgery.
Assistant Superintendent I (CONPASS 09) – Exclusive to FFS; candidates must possess a degree in Law or a BSc in Mechanical, Civil, Chemical, Water Engineering, or related disciplines.
Assistant Superintendent II (CONPASS 08) – Open to NSCDC, FFS, and NIS; applicants must have a BSc or Higher National Diploma (HND).

For the Inspector (CONHESS 06) role, Jubril said applicants must be registered nurses or midwives. This position is available only in NCoS, NSCDC, and FFS.

Assistant Inspector (CONPASS 06) – Requires a National Diploma (ND) or Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE) in a relevant field.
Assistant II (General Duty – CONPASS 04) – Candidates must possess a GCE O’Level, SSCE/NECO, or equivalent qualification with at least five credits in not more than two sittings.
Assistant III (General Duty) – Requires a minimum of four credits in GCE O’Level, SSCE/NECO, or its equivalent, obtained in not more than two sittings.

Jubril emphasized that all applicants must meet key eligibility criteria, including being Nigerian by nationality, possessing the required educational qualifications, and being medically fit.

He added that candidates must also be free from any criminal or financial conviction records and must be between the ages of 18 and 35.
