Osimhen Rejects €40m/Year Al Hilal Offer, Eyes European Move |
Super Eagles star Victor Osimhen has once again rejected a mega offer from Saudi Arabian club Al Hilal, turning down a €120 million deal over three years — equivalent to €40 million annually, The PUNCH reports.
This is the third time Osimhen has declined a Saudi offer, previously walking away from packages of €30m, €35m, and €45m per year.
Despite an agreement between Napoli and Al Hilal for a €75 million transfer fee, the 26-year-old striker is determined to remain in European football.
> “The offer was impressive but didn’t convince the player,” reported French outlet Foot Mercato.
European Giants in the Race:
A top Italian club is reportedly ready to match Osimhen’s wage demands.
Galatasaray are also pushing strongly, offering €26 million annually and hoping to bring back the striker who netted 37 goals in 41 games during a previous loan spell.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano confirmed on Sunday:
> “Despite agreement between clubs, Osimhen says no to Al Hilal. Galatasaray will insist — the race is open again.”
Osimhen is currently in Nigeria on holiday and expected to take his time before deciding his next move.
