NEMA Receives 147 Nigerian Returnees from Niger Republic

The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) has confirmed the arrival of 147 Nigerians who voluntarily returned from Agadez, Niger Republic.

The repatriation was organized by the International Organisation for Migration (IOM) in collaboration with various migrant support and reintegration partners.

Arrival and Profiling

According to NEMA, the returnees arrived at Mallam Aminu Kano International Airport at 12:48 p.m. on June 16, 2025.

A breakdown of the group showed:

• 143 adult males
• 1 adult female
• 1 male child
• 2 female children

Upon arrival, the returnees were transported to Badala Hotel for profiling and documentation, which took place on June 17.

Medical Assistance Provided

NEMA noted that one returnee who was ill received immediate medical care from the Red Cross.
