Al Hilal Set to Table €50m Annual Offer for Osimhen Amid Transfer Battle

Saudi club Al Hilal are intensifying efforts to sign Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen, preparing a record-breaking salary proposal worth €50 million per year, according to PUNCH Sports Extra.

Despite Osimhen rejecting an earlier offer just 11 days ago, the club is determined to lure him away from Napoli with this new, massive deal. The striker had previously turned down a €30 million annual salary, but Al Hilal remain undeterred.

Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano confirmed that the club is readying another proposal, noting that while other contenders like Galatasaray, Premier League clubs, and Juventus are also in the mix, Al Hilal remain relentless.

Napoli, who have been informed of the Saudi club’s willingness to trigger Osimhen’s €75m release clause, could face an imminent bid.

Meanwhile, Manchester United have re-entered the race after missing out on Viktor Gyökeres. United are reportedly offering €12 million per year in salary and are prepared to match Napoli's €75m release clause, though their budget has been strained by a £62.5m purchase of Matheus Cunha.

Osimhen, currently contracted to Napoli for another year, had an impressive loan stint at Galatasaray, scoring 37 goals in 41 appearances. However, his fallout with Napoli manager Antonio Conte last season led to his exclusion from the squad, making a departure likely.

Galatasaray are also pushing hard to sign Osimhen permanently, offering a salary between €15m–€20m per year. The stumbling block remains Napoli’s demand for a straightforward lump sum payment for the release clause, which complicates negotiations for all suitors.

Top English clubs like Liverpool, Arsenal, and Chelsea could significantly influence the transfer saga if they submit serious offers. Their Champions League status and starting roles for Osimhen could give them an edge over Manchester United, who may struggle to make a compelling pitch following a disappointing 2024/25 season.
