Hillary Clinton Warns of a Worse Second Term if Trump Becomes President Again |
Clinton's warning comes after Trump's interviews with Time, in which he outlined his plans for a second term, including a deportation operation targeting over 11 million people, building migrant detention camps, and deploying the military to the border and inland.
In a recent post on her X account, Hillary Clinton, the 2016 US Democratic Party presidential candidate, expressed her concerns about the potential consequences of Donald Trump winning the 2024 presidential election. She stated that if Trump becomes president again, his administration would be "much, much worse" than his first term.
Clinton's warning comes after Trump's interviews with Time, in which he outlined his plans for a second term, including a deportation operation targeting over 11 million people, building migrant detention camps, and deploying the military to the border and inland. Additionally, Trump plans to restrict women's reproductive rights, withhold funds from Congress, and fire US Attorneys who don't comply with his orders.
According to Time, Trump's closest advisers and confidants revealed that he would also gut the US civil service, deploy the National Guard to American cities, close the White House pandemic-preparedness office, and staff his administration with loyalists who support his false claims of election fraud.
Clinton's warning highlights the potential dangers of a second Trump term, which could lead to an "imperial presidency" that reshapes America and its role in the world. With Trump's confidence and assertiveness on full display, his next term could be even more damaging than his first. As Kellyanne Conway, Trump's close adviser, stated, "I don't think it's a big mystery what his agenda would be... But I think people will be surprised at the alacrity with which he will take action."
