Key Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will take ownership of critical financial processes while ensuring accuracy and timeliness across all accounting functions. Your main duties will include:

• Managing all daily accounting transactions and ensuring financial integrity.
• Recording and monitoring prepaid expenses and creating appropriate amortization schedules.
• Overseeing accruals, fixed assets, and stock accounting processes.
• Leading the month-end and year-end closing processes with precision and timeliness.
• Reviewing and validating all expense transactions for proper classification and budget compliance.
• Preparing detailed financial analysis reports to assist management decisions.
• Ensuring accurate inventory and stock accounting, especially within the poultry sector.
• Working with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle to handle:
  • Receipt Vouchers (RV)
  • Payment Vouchers (PV)
  • Purchase Orders (PO)
  • Goods Received Notes (GRN)
• Supporting both internal and external audits with accurate documentation.
• Identifying and recommending process improvements in accounting controls and workflows.

Qualifications and Experience

To qualify for this position, you should meet the following criteria:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional certification such as ICAN, CPA, or ACCA is highly desirable.
• Minimum of 7 years of accounting experience, with at least 4 years in a senior or supervisory role.
• Proven experience in poultry or agriculture accounting is a major advantage.
• Strong understanding of IFRS or relevant accounting standards.
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar).
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables and VLOOKUP).
• Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
• High level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail.
