Candidates who took part in the YSU admission screening exercise can now check their admission status online via the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) Central Admission Processing System (CAPS).

How to Check YSU Admission List on JAMB CAPS
The admission list is available exclusively on the JAMB CAPS portal. To confirm your status:
- Visit the official JAMB CAPS portal.
- Login with your registered email address and password.
- On your dashboard, click “Check Admission Status.”
- Select “Access My CAPS.”
- Click “Admission Status” to see if you’ve been offered admission.
If admitted, your profile photo will display alongside a congratulatory message.
If not admitted yet, you’ll see the message: “Sorry, No Admission has been Given Yet.”
Accepting or Rejecting Your Admission Offer
Once you confirm your admission, you must either accept or reject the offer within 4 weeks. Here’s how:
- Send ACCEPT or REJECT as an SMS to 55019 or 66019 using the phone number linked to your JAMB profile.
- Alternatively, you can visit any JAMB-accredited CBT centre to perform this action if your phone number is unavailable.
Note: Failing to respond within the given timeframe may lead to forfeiting your admission offer.
Printing Your JAMB Admission Letter
After accepting the admission offer, you must print your JAMB admission letter, which will be required during clearance and registration at Yobe State University.
Steps to print your admission letter:
- Login to your JAMB e-Facility portal.
- Click on “Print Admission Letter.”
- Make a small payment online and download/print the letter.
Important Notice for Mobile Users
Many students using mobile phones may face challenges checking admission status on JAMB CAPS. If you only see a welcome message instead of your admission details:
- Open the JAMB CAPS portal on the Chrome browser.
- Tap the three-dot menu.
- Select “Request Desktop Site.”
- The full CAPS page will now display, allowing you to check your status properly.
