Bola Tinubu Condemns Borno Suicide Attack, Mourns Victims of Kano Explosion |
President Bola Tinubu has strongly condemned the recent suicide bombing in Borno State, describing the attack as a cowardly act. In a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the President expressed deep sorrow over the loss of lives.
He urged security agencies to intensify their efforts in eliminating the remaining elements of Boko Haram, who continue to target vulnerable civilians as a distraction from their weakening influence.
President Tinubu also extended heartfelt condolences to the Government and people of Borno State and directed the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) to provide immediate support to survivors of the attack.
In the same statement, the President sympathized with the families affected by an explosion at a scrap metal factory in Kano, which occurred on Saturday morning. The blast impacted 15 people, resulting in five fatalities.
President Tinubu emphasized the critical need for strict workplace safety protocols and called on relevant government agencies to thoroughly investigate the cause of the ex plosion.
