Report: Arsenal Submit Offer for Brentford Midfielder Christian Norgaard

According to bold.dk, Arsenal have submitted a bid to Brentford for experienced Danish midfielder Christian Norgaard.
The 31-year-old remains under contract with the Bees until 2027, but Brentford are reportedly hesitant to sanction his sale—especially following the recent departure of long-time head coach Thomas Frank, who announced his retirement from competitive football this summer.
It’s a move worth watching closely, particularly as Arsenal have already bid farewell to Jorginho and face growing uncertainty around Thomas Partey. The Ghanaian’s contract is set to expire in less than a week, and despite earlier expectations of a renewal, recent reports suggest talks have stalled—possibly due to the 32-year-old’s wage demands.
Arsenal are also set to unveil Martin Zubimendi as their latest midfield addition, widely seen as a long-term replacement for Partey in the starting XI. However, should Partey depart, the club would still need to reinforce the squad’s depth.
Norgaard brings a wealth of Premier League experience, having made nearly 200 appearances for Brentford—something Mikel Arteta clearly values. His physicality and tactical discipline would certainly appeal to the Arsenal boss (even if Gunners fans haven’t forgotten some of his crunching tackles on Gabriel Martinelli).
It’s worth noting that Arsenal have previously shown interest in Norgaard’s Brentford and Denmark teammate, Mikkel Damsgaard.
