NAHCON Airlifts Over 14,000 Nigerian Pilgrims from Saudi Arabia

The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has successfully airlifted hundreds of pilgrims from Sokoto and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) from Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, marking significant progress in the ongoing 2025 Hajj operations.

This update was shared by the NAHCON Command and Control Centre in Makkah via the Commission’s official X handle on Saturday morning.

According to the report, “Flynas flight XY9082 departed Jeddah for Sokoto at 07:51hrs (local time) today, carrying 422 Sokoto pilgrims and 4 officials. This brings the total number of pilgrims airlifted so far to 13,589 across 32 flights.”

The statement continued, “Shortly after, Flynas flight XY9022 took off from Jeddah to Abuja at 10:33hrs (local time), transporting 425 pilgrims from the FCT along with 4 officials. With this latest flight, the cumulative number of pilgrims airlifted for the 2025 Hajj now stands at 14,014 across 33 completed flights.”

The seamless and ongoing airlift operations underscore NAHCON’s unwavering commitment to facilitating a smooth and timely pilgrimage for all Nigerian pilgrims.

“Our dedication to ensuring a smooth Hajj airlift remains strong. We are making steady progress in transporting all Nigerian pilgrims to the Holy Land for their spiritual journey,” the NAHCON Command and Control Centre reaffirmed in its update posted on Saturday, June 15, 2025.

NAHCON continues to actively coordinate and monitor all outbound flights from its Makkah control centre, working closely with airline operators and relevant authorities to guarantee the safe and efficient transportation of every Nigerian pilgrim.
