Iran Reports 610 Civilian Deaths, Over 4,700 Injured in 12 Days of Israeli Airstrikes |
Iran announced on Tuesday that at least 610 civilians have been killed and more than 4,700 injured since the conflict with Israel began on June 13.
“All of the victims are civilians,” said Health Ministry spokesperson Hossein Kermanpour, updating the death toll from the previously reported figure of over 400 fatalities and 3,056 injuries.
“Hospitals have witnessed deeply distressing scenes over the past 12 days,” Kermanpour wrote on the social media platform X.
Among the dead are 13 children — the youngest just two months old — as well as five doctors and rescue personnel, according to the ministry.
The Health Ministry also reported damage to seven hospitals and nine ambulances as a result of the Israeli strikes.
