Group Rallies Support for Tinubu’s 2027 Re-election

The Igbo Arise Political Support Group

The Igbo Arise Political Support Group has kicked off a nationwide sensitization campaign to galvanize support for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid in 2027.

The group, which also backed Tinubu and Vice President Senator Kashim Shettima in the 2023 presidential election, says the current administration has demonstrated strong progress and a firm commitment to national transformation.

Speaking at a World Press Conference held Monday at the Best Western Hotel in Enugu, National Coordinator of Igbo Arise for Tinubu/Shettima 2027, Michael Iroakazi, stated that the administration has made bold, strategic moves aimed at overhauling Nigeria’s governance structure and setting the country on a sustainable growth path.

“The combination of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima is, without a doubt, the best leadership team in Nigeria today,” Iroakazi declared.

He emphasized the Vice President’s unwavering loyalty and support, describing it as unmatched and instrumental in enabling the administration to take decisive, reform-driven actions.

Flanked by other executive members of the group, Iroakazi outlined key achievements of the Tinubu-led government, including:

The removal of fuel subsidy
Moves toward local government autonomy
The ongoing national dialogue on tax reform

He stressed that these policy steps are critical for Nigeria’s long-term development and for positioning the country as a continental powerhouse.

“We urge everyone to get on board this moving train because our collective progress as a people must take precedence in Nigeria’s political future,” he said. “A vibrant, stable, and economically progressive Ala Igbo is attainable under the Tinubu/Shettima administration.”

According to the group, lasting peace and development in the South East can only be realized through constructive engagement and collaboration with the federal government.

They called on the Igbo nation to support Tinubu’s second term bid, highlighting his focus on reviving the economy and ensuring inclusive, sustainable development.

The campaign, themed “Ahamuefula: Championing a Renewed Hope for Ndigbo with Tinubu/Shettima”, seeks to rally grassroots backing and consolidate political alignment in the region.

The group expressed confidence that under Tinubu’s leadership, Nigeria will witness major strides in development and elevate its global standing in the years ahead.
