Bandits Attack Mosque During Night Prayers in Zamfara |
Tragedy struck Dole Moriki village in Zurmi LGA of Zamfara State as armed bandits attacked worshippers during Isha (night) prayers on Saturday around 8:00 p.m.
According to local sources, the gunmen stormed the mosque and opened fire on the congregation, killing one person and injuring two others.
Security forces were swiftly deployed to the area, and calm has gradually returned. The injured are currently receiving treatment at General Hospital Moriki, while the deceased has been buried in line with Islamic rites.
This heartbreaking incident adds to the growing concern over insecurity in the region.
