Manchester United are reportedly eyeing a major attacking reinforcement this summer, with Napoli forward Victor Osimhen emerging as one of five top targets to bolster new manager Ruben Amorim’s squad.
The Red Devils have shown serious interest in the Nigerian international, who spent the 2024/25 season on loan at Turkish giants Galatasaray. Osimhen made a strong case for a permanent move after an outstanding season, capping it off with his 26th league goal in Galatasaray’s 2-0 victory over İstanbul Başakşehir on Friday.
That goal took his overall tally to 37 goals across all competitions—a remarkable return that has placed him firmly on the radar of top European clubs.
With his loan spell now concluded, the 26-year-old is expected to part ways with Napoli permanently during the summer transfer window, sparking speculation over his next destination.
According to The Sun UK, Osimhen is not the only forward on Manchester United’s shortlist. Four other strikers are also being considered as Amorim looks to revamp United’s attacking options:
Viktor Gyokeres – Sporting Lisbon
Liam Delap – Ipswich Town
Hugo Ekitike – Eintracht Frankfurt
Moise Kean – Fiorentina
However, competition is already heating up, with reports suggesting Liam Delap is on the verge of joining Chelsea, potentially narrowing the list for United.
With a major rebuild on the cards under Amorim, fans will be closely watching which of these names—especially Osimhen—could be wearing the red jersey at Old Trafford next season.
