In a swift crackdown on criminal activity, the Kano State Police Command has apprehended 11 suspected thugs following a violent disturbance in the Medile Quarters area.
According to a statement issued by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, SP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, the suspects allegedly stormed the community armed with dangerous weapons, leaving several innocent residents injured and dispossessed of their valuables.
Thanks to the rapid response of law enforcement operatives, all 11 suspects were arrested shortly after the attack. Police authorities confirmed that investigations are currently ongoing, and the suspects will be arraigned in court as soon as the process is concluded.
Commissioner of Police, CP Ibrahim Adamu Bakori, reaffirmed the Command’s zero-tolerance policy towards any form of thuggery or public disturbance. He stressed that those who choose to threaten the peace and security of the state will face stringent legal consequences.
The Command also appealed to the public to remain alert and continue cooperating with security agencies by reporting suspicious movements or activities in their neighborhoods.
