The Kano State Government has offered automatic employment to 51 graduates who recently completed their studies in medicine, pharmacy, nursing, and engineering at Near East University in Cyprus.
The announcement was made during a ceremony in Kano, where the graduates received their certificates. The gesture was described as part of the government’s efforts to support education and reward academic excellence.
According to officials, the affected graduates were part of a state-sponsored scholarship program that faced disruptions in the past. Despite the setbacks, they completed their programs and are now being integrated into the state’s workforce.
Relevant ministries and agencies have been instructed to begin the employment process immediately. This includes the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Works, among others.
The government expressed its ongoing commitment to youth empowerment, emphasizing that education remains a priority in its development plans.
Some of the graduates reportedly expressed their appreciation for the state’s support, describing the moment as a turning point in their lives and careers.
