Saudi Arabia has officially welcomed over 1.1 million pilgrims from around the world ahead of the 2025 Hajj. The General Directorate of Passports confirmed the figures in a statement released on Tuesday, highlighting the smooth influx of worshippers into the Kingdom.
As of Monday, May 26, a total of 1,102,469 pilgrims had arrived via various entry points. Of this number, 1,044,341 entered through airports, 53,850 came by land, and 4,278 arrived through seaports.
The directorate emphasized its ongoing commitment to efficient and welcoming entry procedures, supported by state-of-the-art technologies and a team of multilingual, highly trained personnel stationed across all ports of entry.
Authorities say preparations for this year’s Hajj are in full swing, with extensive logistical planning aimed at ensuring a seamless and spiritually fulfilling experience for all pilgrims. These efforts are part of the Kingdom’s broader strategy under Vision 2030 to enhance religious tourism and improve services for visitors.
The Saudi Gazette also reported that the country's leadership remains dedicated to offering world-class services to pilgrims, ensuring that every aspect of the Hajj journey—from arrival to rituals—is handled with care, innovation, and reverence.
