A chilling incident has occurred in Damaturu, the Yobe State capital, where a 24-year-old salesgirl, Sheba Simon, was stabbed by unidentified hoodlums on Sunday, April 28, 2024. The attack happened around 9:30 pm near Damaturu Academy in Malari Bye Pass, leaving the victim in a pool of blood.
According to eyewitnesses, Sheba was ambushed and stabbed in the back with a knife by the unknown attackers, who also snatched her phone during the incident. Fortunately, residents of the area quickly alerted security operatives, and Sheba was rushed to the Specialist Hospital in Damaturu for medical treatment. She is currently responding to treatment.
The Yobe State Police Command has confirmed the incident and condemned the violent act. In a statement issued by its Public Relations Officer, DSP Dungus Abdulkarim, the Command has deployed all available resources to arrest the perpetrators and bring them to justice.
