It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Senator Ayogu Eze, a distinguished Nigerian politician and former Chairman of the Senate Committee on Information and Media. He was 66 years old.
Senator Eze, who represented the Enugu North Senatorial Zone from 2007 to 2015, died on Thursday in an Abuja hospital after a brief illness. During his eight years in the Senate, he made significant contributions to the country's constitutional development as a member of the Constitution Drafting and Amendment Committee.

Born on November 23, 1958, Senator Eze was first elected to the Senate in 2007 and re-elected in 2011. His dedication to public service and his commitment to the people of Enugu State and Nigeria as a whole will be deeply missed.
