The new vehicles will not only enhance the dignity of the office of a judge but also boost their morale and complement their jobs. The allocation of vehicles is a condition precedent for the appointment of new judges, as stipulated by the National Judicial Council (NJC).
In a move to enhance the welfare of judges in the state, the Kwara State Government has presented 12 brand new jeeps to the judiciary. Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq handed over the keys to the vehicles, comprising 11 Toyota Fortuner jeeps and a 2024 Toyota Land Cruiser for the Chief Judge, Hon. Justice Abiodun Adebara.
This gesture marks a significant improvement in the working conditions of judges in the state, coming eight years after the last vehicle allocation. The Chief Judge expressed gratitude to the Governor for his prompt approval and release of funds for the vehicle procurement, which was made possible through the 2023 and 2024 budgets.
