In a bold declaration, the national chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Ganduje, has stated that there will be no vacancy in Aso Rock, the seat of the Nigerian presidency, come 2027. Addressing supporters at the party's national secretariat in Abuja on Monday, Ganduje taunted the leadership of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), accusing them of sponsoring protests and campaigning for his removal as APC chairman.

Ganduje attributed the NNPP's actions to fear, citing their defeat in the last general election and foreseeing another defeat in the future. He claimed that the APC is consolidating its strength, receiving new entrants, and creating fear in the minds of NNPP leaders. The chairman declared that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will continue as President in 2027, stating, "Only our President, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, will, Insha Allah, continue as the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria."
