| Ganduje Accuses Kano Govt of Sponsoring Protests Against Him in Abuja |
Ganduje's Special Assistant on Civil Society and Support Groups, Comrade Okpokwu Ogenyi, released a statement on Friday, alleging that the Kano State government has resorted to using people from the North Central geo-political zone to demand Ganduje's removal after failing to achieve their goals in Kano State.
The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, has made a shocking allegation that the Kano State government, led by the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), is behind the recent protests against him in Abuja. However, the state government has vehemently denied any involvement in the crisis.
According to Ganduje, the Kano State government has been hiring protesters, mostly Kwankwasiyya members, from the streets to demand his removal as national chairman of the party. He claimed that the government has spent a huge sum of money to sustain the campaign against him, which he described as a "desperate but fruitless mission."

The statement expressed concern over the wastage of state resources, which could have been used to provide basic amenities to the people of Kano State. Ganduje also called on security agents to be vigilant and ensure the security of lives and property.
However, the Spokesperson for the Kano State governor, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, denied any involvement in the protests, stating that the NNPP and the incumbent governor have nothing to do with anything happening outside their political party.
The denial comes after Ganduje's camp pointed out that some of the hired protesters were seen wearing Kwankwasiyya T-shirts and caps during a protest at the APC national secretariat, yet claimed to be members of the APC. The situation has raised concerns about the escalating political tensions in the country.
