Devastating Tanker Explosion in Rivers State Claims Multiple Lives |

A tanker explosion occurred at the Eleme section of the East-West Road in Rivers State on Friday night, resulting in the loss of at least four lives.
The explosion, which started around 9:15 p.m., involved a tanker carrying petroleum products and affected other vehicles in the area, known for its gridlock. The incident occurred adjacent to the Indorama Petrochemical Company.
A local resident, Vikko, reported hearing a deafening sound and seeing thick smoke with fire from a distance. A broadcast journalist, Segun Owolabi, described a gory scene with four burnt bodies and numerous vehicles destroyed.
