The Nigerian Army has officially announced that applications for the Short Service Combatant Course (SSC) 49/2026 will close by midnight on Wednesday, November 12, 2025.

The SSC 49/2026 training is a 44-week intensive military program at the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA), Jaji, Kaduna State. Upon completion, successful candidates will be commissioned as Lieutenants in the Nigerian Army.

Eligibility Requirements for Nigerian Army SSC 49/2026

Before applying, make sure you meet the following eligibility criteria:

  • Must be a Nigerian citizen by birth.
  • Age range: 22–28 years as of the time of application.
  • Minimum qualification: Bachelor’s degree with at least a Second Class Lower Division or equivalent.
