Kano Lawmaker Applauds NAHCON Leadership
The Chairman of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), Prof. Abdullahi Saleh Usman, has been commended for the remarkable success recorded during the 2025 Hajj exercise.
Hon. Murtala Musa Kore, a member of the Kano State House of Assembly representing Dambatta constituency, praised the commission’s management, describing it as one of the most organized and well-coordinated Hajj operations in recent years.
According to the lawmaker, NAHCON ensured smooth service delivery to Nigerian pilgrims across Makkah, Madinah, Mina, Arafah, and Muzdalifah, thereby making the spiritual journey more comfortable and stress-free.
Service Delivery During the 2025 Hajj
Hon. Murtala Kore emphasized that Nigerian pilgrims enjoyed quality accommodation, proper feeding arrangements, and well-coordinated transportation throughout the exercise. He noted that the improvements were a clear reflection of Prof. Abdullahi Saleh Usman’s commitment to reforms and service excellence.
He further dismissed rumors aimed at discrediting the commission’s leadership, adding that pilgrims themselves could testify to the remarkable progress made under the current chairman.
Overcoming Challenges in Hajj Operations
Since assuming office, Prof. Abdullahi Saleh Usman has faced various challenges and acts of sabotage. However, Hon. Murtala Kore stressed that these obstacles did not prevent him from recording significant successes in managing the 2025 Hajj operations.
“Despite the challenges, Prof. Abdullahi Saleh remained focused and delivered outstanding results. His leadership ensured Nigerian pilgrims had a memorable and spiritually fulfilling Hajj experience,” the lawmaker said.
Support from the Presidency
Hon. Kore also commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima for their fatherly support to NAHCON, which contributed greatly to the success of the 2025 Hajj.
He noted that the commission’s achievements not only benefited the pilgrims but also added credibility to the Tinubu-led administration by showing its commitment to the welfare of Nigerians both at home and abroad.
Call for Continued Public Support
The Kano lawmaker urged Nigerians to continue supporting Prof. Abdullahi Saleh Usman as he introduces more reforms to reposition NAHCON for better service delivery in future Hajj operations. He also encouraged prayers for the chairman’s success, noting that his leadership style has already set a new benchmark for the commission.
