President Tinubu Appoints Ayo Omidiran as New FCC Chairman, Replaces Muheeba Dankaka

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has officially withdrawn the reappointment of Dr. Muheeba Dankaka as the Executive Chairman of the Federal Character Commission (FCC) and announced the appointment of Ayo Omidiran, a former member of the House of Representatives of Nigeria, as the new head of the Commission.

The announcement comes after Dankaka’s tenure was marred by controversies surrounding the Commission’s operations and leadership.

New Leadership Structure at the FCC

In a statement released from the presidency, President Tinubu also approved the appointment of Mohammed Musa as the Secretary of the Commission. Additionally, Kayode Oladele, a former federal lawmaker from Ogun State who has been serving as the acting Chairman since the expiration of Dankaka’s first term, will retain his position as a Commissioner.

President Tinubu reaffirmed his commitment to ensuring equitable representation and fairness in federal appointments by also renewing the appointments of:
