Learn how to log in to your MTN router (4G or 5G), including default IP address, username/password, WiFi settings, and how to reset or change admin login.

If you use an MTN 4G or 5G router to connect your home or office to the internet, knowing how to log in to the router’s settings can help you better manage your network. Whether you want to change your Wi-Fi name and password, limit connected devices, or monitor data usage, you can do it all from the MTN router login page.

In this guide, we’ll show you how to log in to your MTN router, access important settings, and troubleshoot common issues.

What Is the MTN Router Login?

Every MTN router has a web-based interface (also called the admin panel or dashboard), which you can access using a browser. From there, you can:

  • Change Wi-Fi network name and password
  • Check your internet data usage
  • Set up device access control
  • Perform SIM PIN settings and APN adjustments
  • Update firmware and router software

How to Log In to MTN Router

Follow these steps to log in:

Step 1: Connect to the Router

  • Make sure your phone or computer is connected to the MTN router via Wi-Fi or LAN cable

Step 2: Open a Browser

  • Open Chrome, Safari, or Firefox
  • Type this into the address bar:
👉192.168.0.1 (Default router IP for most MTN routers)
Or try: 192.168.8.1, 192.168.1.1, or 192.168.100.1 if the first one doesn't work.

Step 3: Enter Login Credentials

  • Default Username: admin
  • Default Password: admin (or check the label on your router)
  • Click Login

If you've changed the login password and forgotten it, do this:

  1. Locate the reset button at the back or bottom of the router
  2. Use a pin to press and hold the button for 10–15 seconds
  3. Wait for the router to restart (lights will blink)
  4. Log in again using default credentials (admin/admin)

Note: This will also reset your WiFi name and password to default.
