Warning Before You Begin

Flashing or hard resetting your phone will erase all data — apps, photos, accounts.
Backup your important data if possible.

Steps to Flash/Reset Android Phone with Power Button

1 Power Off the Phone

Hold down the power button and tap Power Off. If the phone is frozen, hold power + volume down for 10–15 seconds to force shutdown.

2 Boot Into Recovery Mode

Press and hold the following combination:

  • Power + Volume Up (most phones).
  • On Samsung: Power + Volume Up + Home.
Keep holding until you see the Android recovery menu.

Navigate Recovery Menu

Use the volume buttons to navigate and the power button to select.
Select Wipe data/factory reset.
Confirm by selecting Yes.

4 Reboot Your Phone

Once reset is complete, select Reboot system now.
Your phone will restart, fresh and reset.

Tips & Notes
