Have excess data and want to share with friends or family? MTN Nigeria makes it easy to transfer data from your own bundle to another MTN user using a simple USSD code. This updated 2025 guide will show you exactly how to transfer data on MTN using USSD, SMS, or the MyMTN app.
What You Need to Know
MTN allows you to:
- Transfer from your existing data bundle
- Share at least 50MB and up to 1GB per transfer
- Transfer a total of 2GB per day max
MTN Data Transfer Code (USSD)
To transfer data via USSD:
- Dial:
*321*2*PhoneNumber*DataAmount#
Example:*321*2*08031234567*500#
to send 500MB - Confirm the transfer
You'll get a confirmation message if successful.
