Sanwo-Olu Meets APC Leaders, Candidates Ahead of Lagos LG Poll |
Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, is set to hold a strategic stakeholders’ meeting with All Progressives Congress (APC) leaders and candidates ahead of the upcoming July 12 Local Government Elections in the state.
This was announced in a statement on Sunday by the APC Publicity Secretary in Lagos State, Mr. Seye Oladejo.
Oladejo explained that the meeting would bring together party leaders, elected and appointed officials, as well as all candidates contesting on the APC platform. The gathering is scheduled to take place at the State House, Marina.
“The meeting will serve as a rallying point to mobilize our team as we head into the local government elections,” he stated.
Oladejo further emphasized the party’s gratitude for the continued support and confidence of Lagos residents in the APC’s progressive agenda, which he said has been instrumental in the state’s remarkable development across key sectors.
“We are confident that the impressive achievements of our local councils — particularly in education, primary healthcare, housing, and social intervention programmes — will be rewarded with overwhelming support for our candidates at the polls,” he added.
The News Agency of Nigeria recalls that the APC, on Tuesday, officially presented flags to its 57 chairmanship and 376 councillorship candidates. The flag-off ceremony, which also marked the formal launch of the party’s election campaign, was held at the APC State Secretar iat in Ogba.
