Kaduna Enjoys Rare Peace Under Uba Sani – Ambassador Mamman

Veteran journalist and former Nigerian ambassador to Spain, Yusuf Mamman, has praised Governor Uba Sani for restoring peace and unity in Kaduna State, describing his administration as a model for leadership in diverse societies.

In a press statement released Monday, Ambassador Mamman said the atmosphere in Kaduna today mirrors the stability experienced during the Second Republic under the ideologically driven leadership of Alhaji Balarabe Musa.

According to him, Governor Sani inherited a state deeply divided along ethnic and religious lines, where public discourse was often mired in distrust and conflict. However, through policies rooted in inclusivity and equitable development, the Governor has succeeded in bridging those divides.

“Kaduna was fractured, but Governor Uba Sani has united its people. Today, the ethno-religious crises that once plagued the state are now painful memories of the past,” he noted.

The ambassador described Governor Sani as a “Man of Peace,” adding that his governance approach should serve as a template for other governors leading heterogeneous states.

Despite the challenges of a significant debt burden, Mamman commended the Governor’s achievements—especially his ability to deliver results without borrowing.

“Without taking a single loan, he has revitalized the health sector by upgrading Primary Healthcare Centres to Level 2, built 62 new schools, and commissioned 25 roads across all three senatorial zones.”

He further highlighted how these efforts have not only expanded infrastructure but also stimulated the economy, created jobs, and raised the overall quality of life for Kaduna residents.

“Governor Uba Sani has shown what is possible with efficient and prudent management of public resources,” Mamman said.

He concluded by urging the citizens of Kaduna to continue supporting the administration, which he described as “truly people-centered and forward-looking.”
