Governor Uzodimma Postpones State of Imo Address

Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodimma, has postponed the State of the State address initially scheduled for Wednesday, June 18, 2025.
The announcement was made on Tuesday by the Commissioner for Information, Public Orientation, and Strategy, Declan Emelumba.
Governor Uzodimma had been set to speak before the Imo State House of Assembly, where he was expected to provide an overview of his administration’s achievements, challenges, and future plans for the state.
However, Emelumba stated that the event has been postponed to a yet-to-be-determined date.
“The government regrets any inconvenience the postponement might have caused the invitees and other stakeholders,” he said.
The address was expected to attract a wide range of attendees, including traditional rulers, political leaders, and civil society representatives.
A new date will be announced in due course.
