FG Postpones Recruitment into Immigration, Civil Defence, and Other Services |
The Federal Government has postponed the commencement of recruitment into several key paramilitary agencies, originally scheduled for June 26, 2025.
In a statement released Wednesday night by the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB), the new date for the recruitment exercise is now Monday, July 14, 2025 — nearly 20 days later than initially planned.
"The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) wishes to inform the general public that its recruitment portal, which was earlier scheduled to open on Thursday, June 26, 2025, will now be accessible from Monday, July 14, 2025.
"Furthermore, the portal address for interested applicants seeking to join any of the services is: recruitment.cdcfib.gov.ng," the statement added.
Applicants are advised to note the updated schedule and are reminded that the application process is completely free of charge.
The Board expressed regret over any inconvenience the date change may cause.
Earlier in the week, CDCFIB had announced the launch of its recruitment exercise for the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Nigeria Immigration Service, Federal Fire Service, and Nigerian Correctional Service.
