In a stunning transfer development, Real Madrid CF has officially confirmed the signing of Trent Alexander-Arnold from Liverpool FC. The England international will join the Spanish giants on a six-year contract starting from 1 June 2025, running through 30 June 2031.
At 26, Alexander-Arnold brings a wealth of experience and silverware to Madrid, having enjoyed a highly successful career at Liverpool. During his time at Anfield, he lifted nine major trophies including a UEFA Champions League title, a Club World Cup, a UEFA Super Cup, two Premier League titles, one FA Cup, two League Cups, and a Community Shield.
A product of Liverpool’s youth system, Alexander-Arnold has been a mainstay in the England national team since 2018. He has represented the Three Lions in two FIFA World Cups (2018 and 2022) and featured in the UEFA Euro 2024 tournament.
His individual accolades are equally impressive. He earned a spot in the FIFA FIFPro World XI in 2020, was selected twice in the UEFA Champions League Team of the Season (2018/19 and 2021/22), and was named in the Premier League Team of the Year three times. He was also honored as the Premier League’s Best Young Player for the 2019/20 season.
Trent Alexander-Arnold is expected to make his Real Madrid debut in the upcoming FIFA Club World Cup, which kicks off in the United States on 14 June. His arrival marks a significant reinforcement for the Madrid backline as the club eyes more global silverware.
