Mauritania Dismisses Rumors of Pilgrims’ Plane Crash Near Red Sea

The Mauritanian government has firmly debunked rumors suggesting that a plane carrying its pilgrims crashed off the coast of the Red Sea.

El Waly Taha, Director of Hajj at the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, reassured the public that all Mauritanian pilgrims have safely arrived in Saudi Arabia for the Hajj pilgrimage, with no accidents or incidents reported.

In a similar statement, Mauritania Airlines confirmed the safe and secure transportation of all pilgrims. The airline emphasized that it successfully operated three outbound flights for this year’s Hajj season, all of which proceeded without any issues.

Authorities are urging the public to rely on verified sources and avoid spreading unfounded claims.
