Spain has eliminated Germany from Euro 2024 with a 2-1 victory in Stuttgart on Friday.
La Roja took the lead in the second half when Dani Olmo converted Yamine Lamal’s low cross.
However, the hosts equalized in the final minute of regulation time with a smart volley from Florian Wirtz.
As the match seemed destined for penalties, Mikel Merino rose highest to head in Olmo’s cross, securing the win.
This victory ensures a semi-final spot for the three-time European champions.
Spain will now face either France or Portugal for a place in the final.
