PHOTOS: Kano Mosque Set Ablaze |
Shafiu Aminu, a resident of Kano, ignited a fire in a mosque located at Laraba Abasawa within the Gezawa Local Government Area, on Wednesday.
According to Daily Trust, the event took place while the community members were engaged in the 'Subh' prayer.
The motive behind the arson remains uncertain, yet the perpetrator subsequently surrendered to the authorities.
A correspondent from Daily Trust visited the Murtala Muhammad Specialist Hospital in Kano, where the injured were receiving care.
