JAMB issues additional UTME results, refutes false rescheduling rumor

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced the release of an additional 36,540 UTME results.

Previously, 531 results had been issued. The cumulative number of results released now stands at 1,879,437.

JAMB's Public Communication Advisor, Dr. Fabian Benjamin, revealed this information in a statement on Tuesday.

While some results are still being scrutinized, the board has been diligent in releasing the results thus far.

Simultaneously, a spurious letter suggesting that JAMB was considering rescheduling the exams due to a purported cyberattack on the results was circulated on social media.

JAMB has refuted the claims, clarifying that the letter did not originate from their office.

The board also cautioned religious bodies to adhere to their core mandates and avoid disseminating misinformation to the public.

JAMB reaffirmed the security of all 2024 UTME results, as well as those from previous years, stating they are secure and not stored in any cloud system.

The board will persist in its efforts to identify any exam malpractices through the analysis of CCTV footage.
