The Federal Government of Nigeria has declared Wednesday, May 1, 2024, a public holiday to commemorate this year's Workers' Day celebration. The Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, made the declaration on behalf of the Federal Government, emphasizing the importance of excellence, efficiency, and equity in all spheres of labor.


This year's theme, "Ensuring Safety and Health at Work in a Changing Climate," highlights the need for proactive measures to mitigate the adverse effects of climate change.
