Floods devastate Kirfi Local Government, destroying over 700 houses




The Bauchi State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) confirmed the disaster, as reported by Gatagum Daily Post.


Mr. Adamu Nayola, the director of planning, research and statistics of the agency, said: "Over 700 houses and farmlands were destroyed in Cheledi area, affecting crops such as rice, maize, yam, millet and others.


The people of the area urgently need assistance from the relevant authorities to cope with the aftermath of this incident and prevent its recurrence in the future."
