TRUTH Social: Donald Trump's social network to launch in February

In October, former President Donald Trump announced the launch of his own social network called 'TRUTH Social'. The politician and businessman decided to create his own platform after being banned from Twitter in January 2021, after the invasion of the United States Capitol on the day of Joe Biden's victory certification.

Recently, the App Store – the app store for iOS devices – listed the social network being developed by Trump Media and Technology Group. According to The Verge, Trump's social network should launch on February 21, the day the United States celebrates President's Day.

In the description of the App Store, the platform makes it clear that it is an environment aimed at different people, accepting opposing points of view and ideologies without any problem, a clear sting to Trump's banishment from other platforms on the market.

Apparently, TRUTH Social will be a lot like Twitter itself. According to the images released, it is possible to share, reply to and favorite messages published by other users, which were called “truths”.

According to him, “We live in a world where the Taliban are present on Twitter, but their favorite American president has been silenced. In addition, Trump said he was excited to share his days on the new social network.

TRUTH Social has had its own controversies, being accused of stealing the source code of a platform called Mastodon. The platform is open source – with open source code, but requires credits to be made in case of use.
